Weddings in Pigeon Forge TN
Twenty-five thousand couples yearly learn how easy and affordable a wedding in Pigeon Forge TN and the Smoky Mountains can be. Getting married is a stressful time and planning a wedding is difficult. Where to begin? Pigeon Forge wedding chapel consultants help make your wedding planning affordable and almost worry free.
Experienced professionals help you decide where to marry (wedding chapel, luxury cabin rental, National Park), explain pre-packaged weddings and receptions, and honeymoon accommodations for both the bride/groom and the wedding party.
Many chapels (there are about 30 in the Smokies area) offer ceremonies performed by ordained ministers. In addition to pre-packaged weddings, customized weddings can be designed that include photography, videography, music, bridal bouquets and flowers for the entire group, wedding cakes, receptions, and limousine service.
Having your wedding ceremony in the National Park is easy too. To hold your ceremony at any historic structure such as the Methodist or Primitive Baptist Churches in Cades Cove, contact the Park's Ranger Activities Division (865-436-1266) to request an application. While there's is no charge for your permit, there are some guidelines you need to observe. The historic structures in the Park are made of wood, so candles or lamps are not allowed. In addition, parking is very limited with only six parking spots at the Baptist Church. If you want to marry anywhere else in the Park---like on a mountain top--a permit is required when you have more than twenty people in your party. In addition, even though you have a permit for a ceremony in the Park, you don't have a reservation in the sense that persons outside your party are excluded-tourists still have every access to the Park premises.
To obtain a marriage license, both parties must be present to obtain the license from the County Clerk's Marriage License Centers (see list below). There is no waiting period and an appointment is not necessary. Proof of age is required by a certified birth certificate, driver's license, state-issued picture ID, or valid passport. A blood test is not required and applicants need not be residents of Sevier County to wed there. Couples may also bring a valid Tennessee marriage license from anywhere in the state of Tennessee, but is only valid for 30 days after issue. Both parents or legal guardians must sign the marriage certificate, if applicants are under the age of 18
